Pad Man Movie Lead Cast: Kartik Aaryan as Sonu, Sunny Singh as Titu, Nushrat Bharucha as Sweety, Alok Nath as Ghasitaram, Ishita Raj Sharma as Pihu, Deepika Amin as Sweety's mother, Ayesha Raza Mishra as Titu's mother, Virendra Saxena as Lalu Kaka, Pawan Chopra as Titu’s father, Pritam Jaiswal as Babu, Sonalli Sehgall as Cameo appearance
Director: Luv Ranjan
Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety a so-called squeal to Luv Ranjan's PKP 2 is a juvenile bromance vs romance drama about two friends who share an emotional bond stronger than anything in the world but it all changes when Titu decides to get married to sweety.
Titu is too naïve to fall in love with every woman he meets but his best friend "Sonu The Saviour" swoops in to protect him when things start to get serious.
Like any other Luv Ranjan film, this movie is also marinated in misogyny. The movie starts off on a happy note but the lives of these “chaddi buddies” turn upside down when sweety's character comes into the equation. Sonu is convinced that sweety is a golddigger and tries to convince Titu that she is "too good to be true".
The movie is consistently funny with lots of clever lines and the light "nok jhok" between Sonu and Sweety keeps the audience glued to their seats. There could be two possibilities for sonu going on a war with sweety i.e. either he is in love with her or he is in love with titu. The first one is too obvious and the directors weren’t brave enough to explore the second possibility so what you see is what you get- plane protectiveness.
Kartik Aryan has done a fabulous job but it would have been nicer if Sunny Singh's character had more spine, Nushrat Bharucha was fine but Alok Nath was a particular hoot getting out of his sanskari stereotype and playing a hard-drinking swearing old man.
If you’re looking to laugh your brains out and want to know who wins the battle between a friend and a girl go watch “Sonu Ke Titu KI Sweety”.

I read a lot of people saying that #SonukeTituKiSweety is sexist. I am sorry to say but No. The film shows reality. I know girls like 'Sweety'. So, @luv_ranjan take a bow because you have portrayed exactly what is happening in the society! @TheAaryanKartik @NushratBharucha - Fab!— Chetna Kapoor (@chetnak92) March 5, 2018
