Synopsis

PADMAN REVIEW

We should break all those traditions that value tradition over people, with this positive attitude the director Mr R Balki started Pad Man film starring Akshay Kumar, the perfect choice for the movie.

The real-life inspiring story of Arunachalam Muruganatham will definitely be a success for Mr. Balki, economically and his efforts for this film will definitely add to his reputation of telling bold and unconventional stories. Hid past work includes - Cheeni Kum (2007), Paa (2009) and Shamitabh (2015)

The topic of the movie is so engaging and real, that makes it applause-worthy on the part of the director to bring out this strong topic. Sometimes it's really important to make these movies to break the age-old taboo.

It is really important for directors to make movies like this more often because it helps raise a social cause and helps the people who are trying do something for the society come in the spotlight.

Pad Man Movie is a social drama which revolves around the topic of rural women using clothes or leaves while they are on their periods. According to a estimate, only 18% women of India use sanitary pads. So the whole motto of the movie is to make Indian women aware about the use of sanitary napkins and praise the budding social entrepreneurs like Arunachalam Muruganstham who are doing so much for the society.

Akshay Kumar did total justice to the role as he went on to wear a pink underwear and a sanitary napkin to prove his point, Radhika Apte was believable as a conventional rural woman and Sonam Kapoor was good too.

This sad tale of Indian rural society will definitely help change people’s perspective towards this problem and highlight this issue in the eyes of Indian government so that they can take measures to resolve this issue.

The movies made on a social cause are not that successful commercially but this film will definitely make a mark in your heart. Period!
