Naam Shabana is another film to the kitty of feminist films. Tapsee Pannu after delivering a strong performance in Pink, does justice to her role in this spy thriller. She is a young college girl from Mumbai with a tormenting past. She is a Kudo Champion who lives with her mom and is very different from the girls her age. Even though she is emotionally distressed she falls in love with a guy named Jai, who eventually gets killed in the movie. She is soon after picked by the Intelligence agency to assassinate an arms dealer. They get her on board by promising her revenge for her lost love.

The movie on the whole is not able to fill the shoes of it's prequel, a blockbuster, Baby. The movie lays the foundation for feminism but subtlety deviates from it by making Akshay Kumar the saviour of the day.
