Synopsis

Kadvi Hawa is not just a movie but an attempt to show the audience the sad reality and sufferings of hundreds and thousands of farmers in dry and dreary landscape of Chambal region, this is a movie which will force you to introspect and will make you think whether you're contributing enough to the society or you’re just lost in the minor issues of your life while these people are snuffed rapidly.

This movie makes you aware of the huge problems faced by the people in different areas of the country and we as a society don’t even care because we are only aware of mainstream media. The movie not only addresses the issues like farmer suicides or migration but the big reason behind it, greedy banks taking undue advantage of peoples bad fortune and climate change.

It shows us different kinds of climate change and how it affects different people all around the India and the portrayal of Sanjai Mishra as a blind farmer who is the same color as the sad background but yet he doesn’t dissolve into it. The concerns and issues raised in the film are powerfully dramatized.

Everybody in the village is afraid of this loan recovery agent played by Ranvir Shorey due to their back breaking debt and he has earned a tag of “God of Death” as everytime he visits the village an average of 4-5 people commit suscide because they can’t pay back the loan they took but the agent is not the guy the villagers think, he himself is battling his own demons and he ironically wants to relocate his family in sanjai’s village and sums up all the questions with this famous saying “Everybody has their own Reasons”.

The film has two protagonists and no matter how hard you try you can’t pick one as both of them very beautifully got into their characters and made these characters believable.

This is an unfortunate tale of this cold society which will stay with you for a long period of time even after you leave the movie theatre.
