The movie "Bank Chor" is a story built around the so called “Three Musketeers” who intend to rob a bank. The movie’s star cast includes the extremely talented and appreciated actor in comic roles, Ritesh Deshmukh and the actor who has been dormant for a really long time, Vivek Oberoi.
The three thieves form a gang and make a loosely tied plan to attempt a bank robbery. The first half of the movie is hilarious attributing to Ritesh Deshmukh’s forte. You guys will enjoy Baba Sehgal’s spot on comical rap songs sprouting in between the not so serious robbery. The most funny part is when he asks to rap during the robbery but the gang shuts him down. The role of Champak a.k.a Swami Ji is being played by Ritesh Deshmukh. He is a Mumbai lad and the other two fellows, Genda and Gulab are from Delhi. So, the unending argument continues on "which city is better". While the trio continues with their antics, the real robber comes into action. Jugnu, who till now was pretending to be a customer takes advantage of the situation and along with his men starts looking for a hard drive. Meanwhile, the hot shot CBI officer Amjad Khan played by Vivek Oberoi shows up and takes charge of the situation while the cops were busy in playing mobile games and eating vada paav.
"Mai shanivar ko jhuth nahi bolta" is the funda followed by Champak. During the robbery they surprised everyone with their foolhardy attitude and it doesn't take long for the bank's employees and customers to understand that they are inexperienced amateurs. It seemed to be the height of folly when in the mid of the robbery these original 3 idiots stopped to watch a YouTube video on how to break a safe's door.
It’s a breezy movie with light hearted banter and minimal drama. Ritesh Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi have done a tremendous job. Their work has been lauded and well received by the audience. It has an interesting as well as funny sound track. In fact, Ritesh Deshmukh has also done a sequel video of Dhinchak Pooja's latest song "selfie maine leli aaj". It has got good reviews from the critics as well as from the audience. Overall, the movie had a decent opening and equates to be a pleasant watch over the weekend.
