Synopsis

“ Sanju” the long-awaited biography of Sanjay Dutt is a masterpiece, filled with brilliant performances and ready to show the lows and highs of our very own “Khalnayak’s” life.
The story begins in a time where the whole country had lots of opinions about Sanjay Dutt and it was difficult to find someone who will help him tell his side of the story so he decides to find someone who can write his biography. He finally finds an established writer Winnie to pen his biography, the protagonist tells her all about his life which was no short of a roller coaster
ride. The movie majorly focuses on the father-son duo who shares an emotional bond which will move you to tears; it also sheds light on the best friend Kamalesh a New York Gujarati who was always by his side.
His mother Nargis Dutt played by Manisha Koirala was also seen briefly but all the scenes with her were really moving. Some important bits of his life are not covered like his other marriages and
children but the superb writing and performances didn’t even let you realize that, the first half concentrates on Sanjay’s early life when he was going through drug addiction, rehab and the accusation of connections with different terrorist groups while the second half focuses on how all these things made him realise his mistakes
